• Gifntext [Website]: Fairly easy to add text or animations over existing GIFs.
• GifCam [Software]: Super intuitive and quick way to go straight from screencapture → GIF. Stores locally on your machine so it works well for unannounced things.
• Honeycam [Software]: Another nice, simple piece of software to make GIFs

• GIMP [Software]: Open source, free Photoshop alternative.
• Fotor [Website]: Easy, free website to make simple image edits

Video

• OpenShot [Software]: Free, open source video editor.
• Beginner Adobe Premiere Course [Video]: Covers the basics for free in 2.5 hours.
• VideoSmaller [Website]: Greatly reduces the size of videos easily and for free. Doesn't seem to host the video online, so should be secure for delicate videos.
